Eileen Jang '09 to represent U.S. in Stockholm water science contest
Class of 2009 graduate Eileen Jang of Cary was named the U.S. winner of the 2009 Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) - the most prestigious international competition for water-related research - during a ceremony at the University of Anchorage in Anchorage, Alaska.

NCSSM among Newsweek's "Public Elites"
Joined by 14 other prestigious high schools in the nation, NCSSM was again named by Newsweek as a top-performing school whose "sky-high SAT and ACT scores indicate they have few or no average students." Other schools on the list include the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA), Bronx High School of Science, and Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.
